Jesus Knew!

A discussion of nervous system function from the perspective of The New
Testament

Preliminary comment: Why I’ve written this letter even though I’ve devoted
my life to working in Science and Maths is because, if I didn’t, I’d be an
egregious Plagiarist. It’s simple. I’m not a “religious fanatic.” I’ve loved
Science all of my life. When I began my work in Neuroscience, I was a
going-through-the-motions Roman Catholic, superficially ‘devout’, but most
often failing to live up to even what I only superficially ‘professed’. Back
in the late1970s, when Neuroscientific Duality Theory [NDT] was already
well-along in its development, something that I was working on in the
theory, and which I thought I’d discovered, reminded me of something Jesus
had taught, which I probably heard in a Gospel reading while attending Mass.
This aroused my curiosity, and, wanting to understand why it had, I read the
Gospels, and my jaw just hung down in amazement because it was immediately
obvious to me that Jesus Knew! how our nervous systems work. I have to smile
when I recall first coming to see this. Knowing what was in it, and that it
would rank with the most-significant things that have ever been accomplished
in Science, I’d gotten more than a bit “smug” about myself, replete with
dreams of ‘prestige’, ‘fame’, and “the rest”. For nearly a decade, I’d
worked devotedly with the best information that had been produced by
Neuroscience Experimenters. Having verified it in every way of which I could
conceive, I knew my work was solid, and ‘presumed’ it to be “revolutionary”.
But, the more I studied the Gospels, the more I saw that Jesus had said all
of the higher-level stuff that the work I’d done points to, and He had done
so more than two thousand years ago, 1500 years before the “scientific
method” ever became a glimmer in Galileo’s eye. Imagine it. The “grand
future” I’d imagined for myself “dissolved” in the realization that I had to
Honor Jesus’ Priority. To me, doing so is a matter of Honor in Science. One
who works [Honorably] in Science doesn’t just ‘ignore’, and ‘fail to
acknowledge’, the work of others who “said it first”. So I’m left having
accomplished “the scientific details”. Sort of a “lab assistant” :-]
Self-pityingly [selfishly], I cried myself to sleep many nights after this
realization because I’d looked to my work as a means to establish and
support a Family, which has always been my dearest hope for myself, and
because I saw that, since I’d given so much to doing the work, I’d probably
not be able to “recover” [when one gives everything one has, one has nothing
left with which to begin anew – at best, like an exhausted swimmer, one can
only hope to “tread water” for as long as one must do so.] But later, as I
gradually came to understand more-fully, I wept with Joy, that I cannot
adequately express, that Jesus Knew! I can’t “explain” how it could be that
Jesus Knew! Nor can I conceive of ever trying to do so. I just see, and can
demonstrate, that it’s so, and my experience of it was not unlike that of
the Apostle, Thomas, who had to put his fingers into Jesus’ wounds before he’d
Believe that Jesus had risen. For me, experiencing that, two thousand years
ago, Jesus Knew! vastly more than either Science or Religion had been able
to uncover since then, removed all doubt. After this, nothing of Jesus
seemed “too much”. I’d seen Jesus with my own eyes, “looking out at me”
from within Neuroscience. So seeing, like The Apostles, Galileo, and all who
Honor Truth that they’ve seen with their own eyes, I do so here. Joyfully.
So, in this letter, I Honor my obligation to Truth. I do not do so ‘casually’.
I understand all that’s inherent because, as I’ll discuss further below, the
work I’ve done in Neuroscience explicitly maps all that’s inherent [with
respect to my writing this letter, not with respect to Jesus. Jesus goes on
forever, way beyond where I can see.]
It’s a long story, but, wanting to explain the phenomenon of prejudice, I
undertook a formal study of Human Behavior in the fall of 1971. This led to
a study of nervous system function, and, in the summer of 1980, after nine
years’ devoted effort, I successfully resolved nervous system function to a
level that was commensurate with Isaac Newton’s work in the old Natural
Philosophy.

Spurred on by this success, I’ve remained devoted to this work, successfully
resolving nervous system function from the macroscopic level to the
sub molecular ‘level’, including successfully reifying how and why the
driving of “the genome” is coupled to experience in “learning”.
I couldn’t get my work published. For various reasons, most folks ‘moved
away from’ even considering it, or acknowledging its existence. So I
‘published’ it myself, sending out thousands of copies of it, gratis, using
my personal resources.

The work is called Neuroscientific Duality Theory [NDT; the “duality” in the
theory’s name is mathematical, and is not, as some have presumed, an
explicit reference to Descartes’ “mind/body duality”. The so-called
“mind/body problem” is resolved in NDT, however.] NDT is a unified theory of
nervous system function, cognition, affect, consciousness and behavior. If
anyone wants to study NDT at an introductory level, they should ask around
on the Internet for a copy of my self published book, On The Automation of
Knowing Within Central Nervous Systems; A Brief Introduction to
Neuroscientific Duality Theory [AoK]. Or, if you’re in a position to help
get this work formally published, contact me, and I'll put together a copy
for you.

The purpose of this letter is to discuss the fact that, if one comprehends
nervous system function, it becomes flat-out obvious, in reading The New
Testament, that Jesus Knew! how nervous systems process information, and
that, while doing exceedingly-more, He was simultaneously lovingly lifting
Humanity up in that understanding. I’ll discuss this in some detail below
but, since I’ve addressed nervous system function in terms of physical
reality, it’s necessary to address, here, the fact that the existence of a
physical theory of “the mind” does not, in any way ‘preclude’ God. Because
our nervous systems are physical systems, it’s flat-out obvious that, even
in the case of miracles, that which occurs is experienced within the
physical realm of nervous systems – else the nervous systems cannot enable
their host organisms, us, to bear witness to the miracles. Understand? The
long-prevailing notions of God’s acting in a so-called “supernatural” realm
are completely-nonsensical remnants of ancient ‘presuppositions’ that were
haphazardly converged upon long before formally-ordered studies of physical
reality ever existed. And such ‘presumption’, having become ‘familiar’, was
handed-down, unchallenged and untested, intergenerationally, simply because
it was, in fact, ‘familiar’ [in NDT, “TD E/I-minimized”], not because it has
ever been verified to constitute Truth. But this also doesn’t mean that
miracles don’t happen. All I’m saying, here, is that, if miracles happen,
then any and all witness to them must have a basis in physical reality –
else, because nervous systems are physical systems, no one would ever be
aware of their occurrences. Understand? I’m not saying that miracles “don’t
happen”. Having experienced many myself, I know that they do. I’m just
saying what I’ve said above. We are physical creatures. Our perceptions
occur in a physical way, within physical reality. And I see no problem with
respect to such for either Religion or Science.

Most folks ‘move away from’ any mention of God and Science in a single
discussion. Folks in Religion ‘move away from’ the Science, and folks in
Science ‘move away from’ the Religion, which, to me, is all
sorrowfully-funny because the prejudice inherent was explained three decades
ago in NDT, a theory in Science. And, as I’ll discuss below, Jesus taught
against prejudice more than two thousand years ago. So, since Religion and
Science say the same [After Abraham Lincoln: “Christ and reason say the
same.”], it’s sorrowfully-‘funny’ that folks in Science and Religion still
act prejudicially while, supposedly, going about doing Science and Religion.
It’s impossible to actually do either if what one does is ‘contrived’ to
‘obviate’ one’s beliefs. All such does is disclose that one is, in fact,
manifesting prejudice, exerting force upon others’ behavior through the
force of one’s own behavior. To the degree that such occurs, such
transgresses Free Will. Absent Free Will, “humanness” is forfeit.
It’s in the hope that doing so will bridge the ‘impasse’ that exists between
Science and Religion that I’m going to discuss how the fact that Jesus Knew!
how human nervous systems process information is obvious in the four Gospels
of The New Testament. There’s one “catch” with respect to such – to see that
Jesus Knew! how nervous systems process information, one must simultaneously
know what Jesus said and understand how nervous systems process information,
and the latter understanding cannot be obtained, yet, in any
formally-published accounts of nervous system function. To bridge this gap,
I’ve included a copy of an older [1986], shorter version of the “Automation
of Knowing...” manuscript with this letter. Folks will find most of what
they need in it, and can verify its contents via existing texts in
Neuroscience. I’d have much preferred to include a copy of the longer,
more-polished, 1988 version of AoK, but I can no longer indiscriminately pay
for the printing expenses inherent in doing so. I recently rediscovered a
number of copies of the 1986 version of AoK that were prepared as handouts
at a Society For Neuroscience annual meeting and which were left-over after
that conference concluded. With a few differences, the 1986 version is a
miniature of the 1988 version, the main difference being NDT’s explanation
of the mechanism of volition is included in the 1988 version, but was not
included in the 1986 version [in the hope that folks wanting to know how
Free Will happens within the biology would contact me.] [Note: I’ve left the
preceding in this text, but haven’t included the papers, as folks already
have access to AoK.]

At any rate, what I’ll write below will presume that you’ve read the 1986
paper. Most of the paper is heavy-duty Neuroscience but, although I’ll try
to write what’s below in a way that communicates regardless of whether or
not you read the paper, you won’t be able to more-fully understand what’s
below unless you read and understand at least pages 2 and 3 of the paper,
which, being written for a general audience, are easy to comprehend So I
encourage you to mark your place in it, and put this letter down to read at
least pages 2 and 3 of the paper before continuing with the discussion
below. [To facilitate your doing this, I’ve also included a recently
extended version of the section of the 1988 version of AoK that corresponds
to pages 2 and 3 of the 1986 version of AoK. [I can post this in b.n if
folks want this updated version of AoK‘s “Short Paper“ section.]
I begin discussion of the main point of this letter with some “trepidation”
because I’ve come to understand that everything Jesus taught is of infinite
scope. Pick anything, and there’s just no end to what’s right-there, in it.
So how is one supposed to address such infinite stuff? A little bit at a
time, knowing that, as the Chinese proverb attests, “A journey of a thousand
miles begins with a single step”. I can only offer, here, the simplest of
beginnings.

Having long-ago realized the importance of the things that I’ll discuss in
the remainder of this letter, in an effort to Honor my obligation to Truth,
I routinely discussed Jesus’ foreknowledge, on the Internet, in the contexts
of the online discussions of the work I’ve done in Science. I found doing so
to be ‘hard’ because I’d already accumulated long experience with respect to
how forcefully folks in Science tend to ‘move away from’ any mention of God.
This happens, not in the least, as a ramification of the way that folks in
Religion long-ago treated Galileo, and others who just Honored what they’d
witnessed with their own eyes [much as the Apostles Honored Jesus because
they, too, could not deny what they’d witnessed with their own eyes, which
is an irony that I’ll discuss below.] So, because I was hoping to win a
hearing for the work I’d done in Science, being, with respect to such,
completely dependent upon folks in Science, Honoring Truth with respect to
the fact that had become obvious to me – that Jesus Knew! how nervous
systems process information – was like running a gauntlet into oblivion –
like ‘dying’ because of what I’d witnessed with my own eyes. In this, I
gained sustenance from Jesus, His Apostles, and folks in Science and
Mathematics, like Galileo, Antoine Lavoisier and Evariste Galois, who
Honored Truth, even when it contradicted the prejudices of their times. What
I found in their examples of witness to Truth is that, so can I.
Consider Galileo. He was just looking through the telescope he had
constructed and Honoring Truth that, so aided, he so saw with his own eyes,
as I pointed out above, in the same way that the Apostles Honored Truth that
they saw with their own eyes. All were Innocents, yet, when Galileo
published a book [Dialogue concerning the two Chief Systems of the World,
1632.] that described what he’d seen with his own eyes, he was condemned to
house arrest for the remainder of his life, and all of The Apostles, except
John, were executed because of their witness. “Ironic”, isn’t it, that
Honoring Truth seen with one’s own eyes is so condemned? As things stand,
yes, it is, but, as I’ll explain below, it’s understandable, and, when one
understands how nervous systems process information, the ‘irony’ disappears.
That’s part of why it’s easy to see that Jesus Knew! He routinely expressed
the very understanding involved, most-compassionately, when he reiterated
it, in its entirety, when He said from His Cross, “Father, forgive these
people, because they don’t know what they are doing.” [Luke 23:34] But let’s
begin earlier in Jesus’ teaching.

Matthew 1:20 “But I warn you unless you obey God better than the teachers of
religious law and the Pharisees do, you can’t enter the Kingdom of Heaven at
all!” [The New Testament quotes that I’ll include in this letter are taken
from the Holy Bible, New Living Translation.]
“God”? “Teachers of religious law and the Pharisees”? “The Kingdom of
Heaven”? “Entering the Kingdom of Heaven”?
Consider what’s in the task that anyone faces when he or she understands
anything that remains relatively ‘unfamiliar’ to everyone else. Say, for
instance, that you are an “alien” visitor who knows about “radio
communications.” You come to Earth in ancient times, but you couldn’t carry
any radio equipment with you “through the time warp”. [You know – like in
the movie, The Terminator :-] How are you to go about teaching
contemporaneous folks about “radio”? If you just tell folks that you can
talk to unseen others at great distances, those you tell will think you’re
“mad” – or, more likely, that you’re “possessed by a demon” – and, despite
your protestations that you’re just trying to lift folks up in
understanding, folks will probably “burn you at the stake” because what you’ve
said to them is so ‘unfamiliar’ within their contemporaneous experience.
Then, later, folks’ll say, “Whoops!” and ‘celebrate’ you. More on this
“behavioral inversion” [“Behavioral inversion” is discussed in AoK 1986, Ap2
and in AoK, 1988, Ap4], below.

This sort of thing happens still. The methods are much more subtle in our
‘modern’ times, but they’re just as deadly. Nowadays, if folks don’t
actively negatively sanction one, thereby actively hastening one’s demise,
folks just ‘move away from’ one, passively leaving one without the means to
survive, thus sending one to a slower demise.
Jesus had to cope with the problem inherent, and He did so in a way that is
True with respect to all of Humanity, in all circumstances, in all times –
because He Knew! how nervous systems work.
Let’s deal with the most-difficult thing in Matthew 1:20 first – “the
teachers of religious law and the Pharisees”. When folks read such stuff in
The New Testament, their “perceptions” of what they’ve read will derive in
the contents of their own experiences. A Jewish reader will tend to ‘move
away from’ accepting the phrase because, to them, it seems to explicitly
address their Religious leaders – the Religious leaders with whom they are
‘familiar’. But, if one understands how nervous systems process information,
no such interpretation is tenable, because, when one understands how nervous
systems work, one knows that all nervous systems do is ‘strive’, ‘blindly’
and automatically, to achieve TD E/I-minimization, and that, since TD
E/I#(down) occurs solely in a way that derives in the neural impulse
activity that actually occurs within a nervous system, and that the neural
activity that actually occurs within a nervous system is deterministically
coupled to experience, one understands that “words” are just place-holders
that are extremely pliable in their ‘connotations’.
Suppose it’s fallen to you to lift Humanity up in understanding that. It
doesn’t matter that you’re just another Human Being. In the task that faces
you, you are exactly analogous to the “alien” in the supposition above. What
do you do? Do you stop people on the street and tell them about how and why
nervous systems process information via ‘blindly’-automated TD
E/I-minimization? You know – bring your “equipment” [the analogue of the
“radio equipment” in the supposition above.] Trust me, that doesn’t work –
even though, as is True in NDT’s case, the stuff you want to give to folks
stands proven. Even if you send out thousands of letters and papers, make
thousands of phone calls, visit labs and universities across the country –
even if you do so at Science conferences where folks are gathered in the
‘hope’ of receiving the stuff you’re trying to give them – all that ever
happens is that, like the ancient folks, people treat you as if you’re a
“madman”, and then “burn you at the stake”, in whatever way of doing such is
‘familiar’ within folks’ experience.

And that’s the key thing – ‘familiarity’ derives in experience. If it’s not
within the realm of folks’ ‘familiar’ experience, no matter what “it” is,
folks will not be able to understand it – because what ‘understanding’ is is
that which correlates to TD E/I#(down), and TD E/I# is that which occurs
within nervous systems as a result of the neural activity that actually
occurs within them during experience. Get it? No experience, no TD
E/I#(down), no understanding. “No ^ 3”

So the only way in which one faced with such a task can proceed is to select
folks whose experience has, in some way, to some degree, more or less
‘prepared’ them to understand the stuff that you want to give them. That’s
what Jesus did, and, in so doing, He obviously Honored the Jews as those who
would be the ones who would understand Him. And, sure enough, the Apostles,
who all were Jews, did.

Leave all notions of “Religion” out of this discussion, focusing, instead,
on only the relative ‘familiarities’ involved, in turn, translating those
relative ‘familiarities’ into TD E/I-minimization as TD E/I#-minimization is
reified in the other documents in your package, and you’ll see, as Jesus
surely did, that, in coming to the Jews, Jesus selected the Jews because
they had experienced that which optimally oriented them with respect to
understanding what Jesus said and did in their presence. And, as in the
phrase under consideration in Matthew 1:20, it had to be that the examples
Jesus used in His teaching would reflect the experience of being a Jew,
because He ‘had to’ work within what had come to be ‘familiar’ – TD
E/I-minimized – within such experience.

‘Had to’? Yes, because anything else eliminates Free Will. [The
Inviolability of Free Will is discussed in the Endnote.] Eliminate Free
Will, and humanness is simultaneously eliminated. There’s no way around
this, which is why Jesus went to Calvary rather than Transgress Free Will.
If you want to know what Love is, that’s it.

When Jesus spoke of, “teachers of religious law and the Pharisees”, He was
invoking a metaphor that would be ‘familiar’ to those who listened to Him,
but He was talking about all possible types of “teacher”, across all of
Humanity, which is flat-out obvious in Matthew 5:20 because, by addressing
“you”, Jesus was addressing everyone [of you :-] Every individual. In
Matthew 5:20, Jesus was addressing, head-on, how nervous systems process
information, which is clear because He was addressing the way prejudice
leaves folks having fallen short of the mark but, nevertheless, ‘teaching’
that falling-short-of-the-mark stuff as if it’s “Truth”, when all it is is
the result of experience – the result of TD E/I-minimization relative to
what has been formerly experienced – which, to the degree that it imposes
‘moving away from’ Truth upon others, Transgresses Free Will. In Matthew
5:20, Jesus said, simply, that more than that is necessary.
What about the other “troublesome” words in Matthew 5:20? “God”? “The
Kingdom of Heaven”? “Entering the Kingdom of Heaven”?
“God”: All-powerful Being. That which, no matter what humans do, does what
it does, regardless. TD E/I-minimization is exactly like that, but I’m not
asserting that TD E/I-minimization is “God”. It’s just that TD
E/I-minimization has the same do-what-it-does-regardless quality. Let this
agitate in your mind, a bit, while the discussion continues.
What about “Heaven”? What was Jesus up to when He spoke of “entering the
Kingdom of Heaven”? If the reader ‘wonders’, I believe that Jesus was
addressing more than our earthly experience, but I also see that He was
simultaneously addressing our earthly experience. It’s in the way that TD
E/I-minimization works within experience. To the degrees that one does, in
fact, achieve TD E/I-minimization, one’s experience is maximally-harmonious
and maximally-effective within one’s experiential environment. Why it’s so
is simple. Because TD E/I#(up) corresponds to randomness within neural
activation ‘states’, the greater the TD E/I that occurs within a nervous
system, the more disordered – the more ‘random’ – its neural activation is.
Think of this in terms of equally-physically-capable people playing a game
that entails pushing one of those bigger-than-a-person-size balls across a
“goal” line, with every person pushing the ball in a different direction.
That is, the pushing on the ball is ‘randomly’-ordered. In what direction
will the ball move? How rapidly will it move in ‘that direction’? Will the
ball ever cross the “goal” line? No direction will be manifested. All
movement will be slow and weak. The “goal” line will never be crossed.
But if everyone pushes in the direction of the “goal”, the ball moves
strongly and rapidly in that direction, and the “goal” is attained. [The
‘wisdom’ inherent is readily-apparent in many forms of athletic competition.
American Football and Rugby come to mind as rather-direct, if forceful,
implementations of this ‘wisdom‘.]

It’s the same with respect to relative TD E/I within nervous systems, except
that, in the neural Topology of nervous systems, “directionality” occurs in
a way that’s ordered by the “special topological homeomorphism of central
nervous systems” [it’s in the paper] which requires some study, but, beyond
this, it’s exactly the same as in the ball-pushing problem.

The point is that achieving TD E/I#-minimization is an earthbound form of
“entering the Kingdom of Heaven” because, when one achieves TD
E/I-minimization, to the degree that one does so, all is “ease” in one’s
experience. The point is not with respect to “lazing around”, but with
respect to the difference “absence of conflict” makes in the experience of
Life. Wherever conflict exists, to the degree that it does, progress cannot
be achieved because the energy that’s expended in conflict’s destruction is
taken from the energy that could be expended in achieving progress’
development. It’s simple Thermodynamics. Conflict literally imposes
disorder – ‘randomness’ – within interactive dynamics, to the degree of
such, sending energy to waste.

Everything that Jesus said has this same quality of simultaneously
addressing things Eternal and things in the here and now of humans’
experience, which is why I saw that Jesus Knew! how nervous systems work,
which made my jaw hang down, selfishly ‘broke my heart’, then, as I came to
actually understand that Jesus Knew!, gave me boundless Joy.
Returning to the prior discussion, one thing that bears upon what transpired
with respect to Galileo is that “telescopes” constituted new technology with
which everyone, including Galileo, was then ‘unfamiliar’. As is explained in
the “Automation of Knowing...” ms., such absence-of-‘familiarity’ always
precipitates degrees of ‘instinctual skepticism’, ‘caution’, and,
most-often, ‘moving away from’ behaviors. This happens solely because
absence-of-understanding correlates to occurrences of TD E/I(up) ‘within‘
nervous systems. In Galileo’s case, the correlated ‘instinctual skepticism’
derived in his own ‘unfamiliarity’ with the role telescopes could play in
augmenting human understanding, and was manifested in the form of his
too-forcefully ‘moving away from’ the ‘status quo’, instead of seeing that
others just hadn’t experienced what he had experienced, and that they,
therefore, did not, and could not, understand what he had experienced until
they had, in fact, experienced it.

Galileo ran, headlong, into the absence-of-understanding, inherent, doing a
lot that exacerbated his situation because, in a hardly-veiled way, he
“poked-fun” at the Church hierarchy, including the Pope, in his book. He was
probably moved to do this out of long-augmenting “frustration” deriving in
his witnessing of the way that the leadership of the ‘church’ had become
‘arrogant’ in deeming itself to be ‘the arbiter’ of Truth, even in matters
where its own experience, if such existed, was minimal. Truth is, because
all nervous systems innately do is ‘strive’, ‘blindly’ and automatically, to
achieve TD E/I#-minimization with respect to the neural activation that
actually occurs within them during the course of experience [it’s in the
paper that you’ve read by now, right? :-] everyone having a ‘normal’ nervous
system is equally equipped to see Truth, and, since seeing Truth can only
happen experientially, and since everyone’s experience is unique, it has to
be that individuals see Truth that is unique to their own experience, at
least until they can show others how to experience similarly, thus sharing
the seeing of Truth. This is, ideally, why we send our Children to school –
to “learn” from experiencing the sharing of Truth. That is, to experience
teaching that will focus and tune the TD E/I-minimization dynamics that
occur within their nervous systems so that they will, then, be enabled to
behave in ways that are universally-optimal. [This is why teaching, and its
quality, are very-serious matters.] Yet all are familiar with the experience
of being ‘overruled’ on the grounds of the ‘popular opinion’ that is
socially agreed-upon as ‘constituting truth’. Such socially-agreed-upon
stuff is necessary if groups of people are to be able to work together to
achieve goals, as in the ball-pushing example’s positive outcome. The Law is
such socially-agreed-upon stuff, for instance. It won’t do to have everyone
going in willy-nilly directions, as in the ball-pushing example’s negative
outcome. If that’s the case, then nothing can, or ever will be,
accomplished, again, as in the ball-pushing example’s negative outcome. But
a belief system in which anything that’s ‘unfamiliar’ is ‘moved away from’,
just because it’s not yet ‘familiar’, is just as maladaptive – because it
sanctions, and imposes, ‘blindness’ with respect to what’s in nervous
systems to do – to see and recognize Truth even when it is ‘unfamiliar’.
Sadly, this sort of ‘blindness’ is often literally taught in our schools, as
‘teachers’ substitute that which has merely come to be ‘familiar’ to them,
within their prior experience, for the generalized seeking-of-Truth that is
what teaching, at its best, is, thereby coercing their students to “accept”
what’s ‘familiar’ to the ‘teachers’, or ‘fail’, or drop out of school
altogether. [Note well, I’m not “bashing” teachers, here. I’m addressing
general educational dynamics, and doing so in the same way that Jesus did
with respect to His usage, “teachers of religious law and the Pharisees”,
because the audience I’ve selected in my discourse is “Academia”, in the
hope that, through Academicians, NDT’s proven Truth will be communicated in
general.]

The way I see it is that Galileo intuited much, but not enough, of this and,
not knowing what to do about it, accepted his obligation to do something
about it. So he did, and he ran headlong into the consequences that Jesus
spoke of in Matthew 5:20. Part of the irony inherent is that, in this,
Galileo, who was a man of some Faith, whether or not he intended to, was
nevertheless reminding the ‘church’ of Jesus. I don’t expect anyone to
accept this without studying all that’s involved, but that’s how I see
Galileo’s actions. In Matthew 5:20, as is always the case, while addressing
things Eternal, Jesus was, simultaneously, addressing the here and now. “The
kingdom of heaven” isn’t only something “out there” that’s only relevant
after our lives on Earth have run their courses. We literally experience
“heaven” to the degree that we ‘move toward’ Truth while we live, because it’s
in Honoring Truth that things in our experience just “slide together”,
harmoniously and without conflict, which, to the degree of such, literally
is the experience of Peace. Galileo wasn’t ‘anti-Church’. He was
anti-hypocrisy, which occurs ubiquitously, without regard to institutional
venues, and it was he that was doing what any institution should have been
doing – Honoring Truth, instead of ‘the way things are supposed to be’ as
agreed-upon by those who hold the reins of ‘power’. Think about it. Truth
is. It does no good to ‘move away from’ Truth because, regardless of what
anyone does, Truth does what it does, anyway. [In my work in Physics, I’ve
formalized the dynamics of Truth, which discussion is exceedingly-beautiful
and informative, but beyond the scope of this letter. I’ll gladly explain
this formalization of Truth to anyone who wants to consider it [which I hope
someone receiving this letter will want to do.] It’s also been discussed in
messages I’ve posted in Internet newsgroups.] That’s why seeing Truth, and
‘moving toward’ it, is such a serious matter. If one doesn’t, to the degree
that one doesn’t, Truth just sweeps one aside as if one is a speck of dust.
Championing the Honoring of Truth, even when it goes against popular belief,
is what Galileo was up to when he wrote “poking-fun” into the book that got
him condemned. There are, now, infinitely-many better ways to do this sort
of necessary action on behalf of Truth. Given experience of NDT’s
understanding, Galileo would have been enabled to understand that “poking
fun” at folks who hadn’t the opportunity to experience what he’d experienced
is unjust, and that he was also acting hypocritically.

Here’s how Jesus addressed the sort of predicament in which Galileo found
himself.

Matthew 5:21. “I say, if you are angry with someone, you are in danger of
being brought before the high council.”

And it’s easy to see that this is exactly what happened to all who were
involved in Galileo’s situation.

Jesus never “beat around the bush”. He always addressed the realities of the
human condition tersely and exactly, in ways that always simultaneously have
boundless depth and universal applicability. In the few words He used above,
for instance, He succinctly addressed all of physical reality and the way in
which human behavior is rigorously-coupled to the energy flows that are
inherent in it. What nervous systems do derives in such energy flows. When
one “senses” anything, such happens because physically-real energy flows
impinge upon the sensory receptors of one’s body. All “sensation” occurs via
energy in motion. When one hears the words that others speak, for instance,
it’s because, when the words were vocalized, they were transmitted in the
form of vibrations in the air that intervenes between speaker and hearer,
and the hearer’s auditory apparatus is physically driven by those airborne
vibrations, which the hearer’s brain decodes in accord with the hearer’s
prior experience. This last condition is important because the hearer’s
ability to understand the words that are heard depends upon whether or not
she or he has experience not only in the “language” to which the words
correspond, but also the subject matter. If the words are in an ‘unfamiliar’
language, there is no way that the hearer can understand their information
content – because it is the prior TD E/I-minimization that has occurred
within the hearer’s nervous system, during the hearer’s prior experience,
that enables the hearer’s nervous system to converge upon ‘momentary’ TD
E/I-minimization, and it’s that TD E/I-minimization that is what
“understanding” is.

While He simultaneously addressed exceedingly-more, everything Jesus taught
is in exact accord with the way our nervous systems work. As is explained in
the paper [you’ve read it, right? :-], in terms of NDT, because it was
relatively ‘unfamiliar’ to them, what Galileo did “elevated TD E/I” within
the nervous systems of those who held ‘power’. Thereafter, those folks
reacted to that externally-induced TD E/I, not Galileo. Understand? [This is
the “duality” in Neuroscientific Duality Theory’s name. Behavior is produced
secondarily, as a by-product of primary TD E/I-minimization.]
The same is True, in our modern times, with respect to the way in which
folks in Science tend to ‘move away from’ any, and all, mention of God. Ever
since Galileo was ‘condemned’ by the ‘church’ because of the witness he bore
to what he’d seen with his own eyes, folks in ‘science’ have gradually come
to, just as strongly, condemn any mention of God. In both cases, the only
thing that is happening is that folks who belonged to the group that holds
greatest ‘power’ within societal dynamics negatively sanctions anything that
they do not hold to be ‘true‘, and, no matter what group holds ‘power’, this
happens solely on the basis of group-wise TD E/I#-minimization, which occurs
solely as a function of the TD E/I#-minimization that has occurred within
folks’ nervous systems during prior experience. That ‘science’ has done this
in modern times is a serious matter because, since Jesus flat-out nailed
Truth with respect to what folks must do if folks are to experience Peace,
if ‘science’ “outlaws” discussion of the stuff Jesus taught, then, in so
doing’, ‘science’ ‘outlaws’ Peace. Think about it, and you’ll see that this
is True. Because humans do, in fact, exist as physical systems, within
physical reality, Peace cannot “just happen”. Rather, the foundations for
Peace amongst humans must be – can only be – “learned” as a consequence of
individuals’ experiences. But, if Jesus nailed all in which Peace derives,
and depends upon – which He did – and folks ‘outlaw’ any and all discussion
of what Jesus taught, in so doing, folks ‘outlaw’ Peace – through the
behaviors that they manifest, render it virtually impossible for Peace to
have any opportunity of becoming established. If what’s necessary to
experience Peace ‘cannot’ be experienced, no TD E/I-minimization with
respect to it can occur within nervous systems, so nervous systems ‘cannot’
converge upon TD E/I#-minimization with respect to Peace. [I understand that
such sounds “ridiculous”, but that ridiculous circumstance is exactly what
has been happening because ‘science’ has ‘outlawed’ –
strongly-negatively-sanctioned – discussion of what Jesus taught. I invite
any who don’t believe this to paraphrase what Jesus taught in secular
language and offer it at a Science conference. Then try to do the same, at
another Science conference, by just reading from the four Gospels. You’ll
see what I mean. Same stuff, different words, different reactions.]
This ‘blindly’-automated reactivity is what, in His awesome foreknowledge,
Jesus was talking about in Matthew 5:21. The “high council” is the ‘blindly’-automated
TD E/I-minimization dynamics that occur within nervous systems during their
interactions with physical reality, and which, because they derive in the
energy flows that comprise physical reality, are one with all of physical
reality. Understand? TD E/I-minimization is the mechanism of “the high
council” within human experience because it derives in the physical nature
of the universe. Jesus wasn’t “spouting platitudes”. He was addressing Truth
whole, discussing how, when we behave in ways that elevate TD E/I within
others’ nervous systems, our own actions “bring us before the high counsel”
of group-wise TD E/I#-minimization. It’s all simple Thermodynamics. Then as
now, humans are, and can only be, immersed within, and at the mercy of,
Truth. That’s exactly what Jesus said in:

Matthew 5:23 So if you are standing before the altar in the Temple, offering
a sacrifice to God, and you suddenly remember that someone has something
against you, 24 leave your sacrifice there beside the altar. Go and be
reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God. 25
Come to terms quickly with your enemy before it is too late and you are
dragged into court, handed over to an officer, and thrown in jail. 26 I
assure you that you won’t be free again until you have paid the last penny.”
And, at all ‘levels’, superficial to profoundly-deep, that’s exactly what
happened in Galileo’s case, and in what happens always, including in any
modern case in which anyone simply mentions God in the presence of folks in
Science, or Science in the presence of folks in Religion. Yes, Jesus invoked
‘familiar’ metaphors of the time. How could He do otherwise? No one
understood Him even though He used ‘familiar’ metaphors, but He couldn’t
just talk in His full Knowledge. Folks would have reacted to that as if He
“was a madman”, which, ultimately, is what folks did, anyway, Crucifying Him
rather than resorting to “burning at the stake”. Understand? Just as loving
Parents guide the first steps of their Infants, Jesus had to use ‘baby-talk’
in getting Humanity to “take its first steps” toward understanding. So He
used ‘familiar’ – previously-TD E/I-minimized – metaphors that, when one
looks, one sees are place holders for profoundly-deep energy dynamics that
exist within physical reality. The “high council” is literally the
physically-real energy dynamics in which nervous system function derives –
of which nervous system function is comprised. Such constitutes “the high
council” because it’s ‘blindly’-automated TD E/I-minimization that directs
human behavior to either ‘move toward’ or ‘move away from’ stuff like resort
to drive-by shootings, turf wars, hate crimes, individually, or collectively
in war, and other forms of “burning at the stake”, with affect [roughly,
“emotionality”] being aligned accordingly. It was Jesus Who first got
Humanity lined-up with respect to understanding all of this. [This stuff was
some of the stuff that “I thought I had discovered”. It was in understanding
it, as it occurs within the biology, that I recognized what was in what
Jesus had said, and that Jesus Knew! how nervous systems work. So, see?
Folks in Religion shouldn‘t be ‘afraid‘ of Science. Jesus is in there, too.
Awesomely.]

Consider further, and you’ll see that Jesus addressed Truth that completely
reifies all that happened with respect to Galileo. The Church has suffered
greatly because of the way it “condemned” Galileo when Galileo laid Truth at
its feet [albeit, as above, in a deliberately-provocative way.]
Subsequently, Science ‘moved away from’ the Church, so, by condemning
Galileo, the Church ‘moved away from’ the work Jesus had given it to do –
lifting all of Humanity up in understanding. And, because it reacted to the
TD E/I#(up) that Galileo’s condemnation induced within the nervous systems
of those who do ‘science’, rather than ‘moving toward’ Truth, Science ‘moved
away from’ Truth, thereby failing in its own purpose.
Check it out, Jesus addressed all of this succinctly and completely in the
passage quoted above.

Verse 5:26 is especially interesting, and revealing, because, in it, the
“payment” that Jesus is discussing, and upon which one’s “freedom” depends,
is stated clearly in verse 25 – “coming to terms”. In His understanding of
how nervous systems work, Jesus was ‘just’ explaining the dynamics that
underpin tit-for-tat violence that continues interminably, continually
renewing the wellspring of its own savagery, until folks involved “come to
terms” with one another. This “vicious cycling” happens because of the way
nervous systems key, ‘blindly’ and automatically, upon TD E/I. Look and see,
it’s exactly what’s happening amongst Sunni and Shiite populations in Iraq,
and in Palestinian-on-Palestinian violence, as I write this. And the
Same-Stuff has been going on between Science and Religion ever since
Galileo, and the Same-Stuff goes on between various academic disciplines,
various business endeavors, various branches of Government, various Nations,
various subgroups within populations, and, most-sorrowfully, between the
various Religions. In every such “us versus them” circumstance, each “side”
striking out at, and, in one way or another, ravaging the other, which
induces “the other side” to strike back. All in a way that is ‘blindly’-automated
via the TD E/I-minimization dynamics of nervous systems, and which, because
the dynamics of TD E/I-minimization are not yet generally comprehended, is
indefinitely self-sustaining, and, often, self-augmenting – until folks
“come to terms”.

Note well, Jesus was not “taking sides”. He ‘just’ said Truth plain and
simple – induce TD E/I#(up) within another nervous system, and that nervous
system will, in turn, act to induce TD E/I#(up) back upon your nervous
system – but He addressed all possible things. And He also understood this
other stuff, as in:

Matthew 5:11. “And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted, too.”
It’s because the way that nervous systems process information, via ‘blindly’-automated
TD E/I-minimization, is not yet generally comprehended that “persecution”
happens still, with folks striking-out against one another all over the
place. When the way nervous systems work is understood, one sees the
futility of ‘striking-out’ against others – because all that it actually
‘accomplishes’ is inflicting TD E/I(up) upon others, which, via ‘blindly’-automated
TD E/I-minimization, induces them to ‘strike back’. And so forth, through
interminable iterations, until folks “come to terms”.
Folks who see and act upon Truth that is ‘unfamiliar’ within wider
populations are routinely killed, in one way or another, before what they
were trying to get across to folks comes to be understood by others, because
their efforts to communicate that which is ‘unfamiliar’ induce TD E/I#(up)
within the nervous systems of those who hear what they say. This’s why they’re
killed. They’re “celebrated” later because, as TD E/I#-minimization
gradually happens within enough nervous systems with respect to what they
had tried, while alive, to get across to folks, folks finally come to
“understand” what the now-dead people were saying.

“Whoops!”

“Coming to terms” without such intervening savagery is what Jesus was
teaching when He said:
Matthew 5:38. “You have heard that the law of Moses says, ‘If an eye is
injured, injure the eye of the person who did it. If a tooth gets knocked
out, knock out the tooth of the person who did it.’ 39 But I say, don’t
resist an evil person! If you are slapped on the right cheek, turn the
other, too. 40 If you are ordered to court and your shirt is taken from you,
give your coat, too. 41 If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a
mile, carry it two miles. 42 Give to those who ask, and don’t turn away from
those who want to borrow.

43 You have heard that the law of Moses says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate
your enemy. 44 But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute
you! 45 In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in
heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he
sends rain on the just and on the unjust, too. 46 If you love only those who
love you, what good is that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. 47 If
you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else?
Even pagans do that. 48 But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in
heaven is perfect.”

What Jesus is talking about, above, are the simple facts about how human
nervous systems process information. If one induces TD E/I(up) upon other
nervous systems, to the degree of such, one actively directs the others’
subsequent actions against one’s self. Abraham Lincoln said the same thing,
“Our reliance is in the love of liberty which God has planted in our bosoms.
Our defense is the preservation of the spirit which prizes liberty as the
heritage of all men, in all lands everywhere. Destroy this spirit, and you
have planted the seeds of despotism around your own doors. Familiarize
yourselves with the chains of bondage and you are preparing your own limbs
to wear them. Accustomed to trample on the rights of those around you, you
have lost the genius of your own independence...” [11 September, 1858.] All
of this is TD E/I-minimization, too.
Consider more deeply what Jesus said in Matthew 5:38-48, and you’ll see that
He was explicitly addressing the prejudice toward the ‘familiar’ that occurs
‘blindly’ and automatically as a result of the fact that the only thing that
nervous systems do is ‘move toward’ TD E/I#-minimization, and He was saying
“you can transcend that” by acting in ways that allow others to experience
TD E/I#-minimization, which, if you think about it, you’ll see is what, “You
shall love your neighbor as you love yourself” [Matthew 22:39], is all
about. Your nervous system ‘wants’– was ‘engineered’ by evolutionary
dynamics to; by the physically-real energy dynamics of the universe to –
achieve TD E/I#-minimization, and so does every other nervous system that
has ever existed and, unless evolutionary dynamics undo the “special
topological homeomorphism of central nervous systems” [it’s in the paper],
that will ever exist.
Understand? This is what “coming to terms” is. “Going the extra mile,
turning the other cheek, giving ‘em your coat, too”, etc., is difficult, but
doing so ends the vicious cycle of mutually-induced TD E/I#(up), which is
far more difficult, because it ravages indefinitely. Thus, “turning the
other cheek”, etc., enables Peace at minimal cost. One need only look at the
Middle East to see the ‘alternative’ – decades of interminable TD E/I#(up)
being inflicted, first by one “side”, and then by “the other side”, with the
only thing that’s actually in-there being ‘blindly’-automated TD E/I, left
uncomprehended, and all the World being thrust into conflict as a result of
folks’ behaving in ways that ‘move away from’ “the high counsel”– the TD
E/I-minimization that occurs; the physically-real energy dynamics that
occur – within nervous systems and the way that they are rigorously coupled
to all of physical reality. Jesus used “simple language”, but when one
comprehends how and why nervous systems process information via TD
E/I-minimization, one sees that Jesus was addressing Truth, whole.
The hard fact is that nervous systems become what they experience,
accumulating, and more or less making sense of, whatever it is that they
experience. And as such happens TD E/I#-minimization occurs within nervous
systems. Thereafter, nervous systems sense ‘appropriateness’ solely on the
basis of relative TD E/I. See what this means? Consider, for instance, the
way that international borders artificially ‘contain’ experience. Because of
such artificial ‘containment’ of experience, one set of things comes to be
‘familiar’ to [TD E/I-minimized within the CNSs of] folks living in nation
A, and another thing comes to be ‘familiar’ to [TD E/I-minimized within the
CNSs of] folks living in nation B. And so forth, with respect to all nations
and their citizenries. See the problem? Since international borders have
been allowed to artificially ‘contain’ and ‘confine’ experience, the ‘only’
thing that can occur when an individual from nation A encounters an
individual from nation B is that they will each exist as sources of TD
E/I#(up) to one another because they can only behave in ways that are
relatively ‘unfamiliar’ to [without prior experience with respect to] one
another . And, since all that nervous systems innately ‘know’ is to ‘move
toward’ TD E/I#-minimization [that TD E/I(down) is ‘good’] and to ‘move away
from’ TD E/I#(up) [that TD E/I(up) is ‘bad’], when they encounter one
another, because the behaviors of each will induce TD E/I#(up) within the
nervous system of the other, the two people will experience each other as
being ‘bad’, or as ‘enemies’, replete with commensurately-aligned affect
[‘hatred’]. This reality, in which I’ve reiterated the previously-discussed
example of “hearing” words that are spoken in ‘familiar’ and ‘unfamiliar’
“languages”, and the consequences of such with respect to “understanding”,
is what Jesus was addressing in Matthew 5:38-48. Jesus didn’t “skip” the
scientific details. In Matthew 5:45, for instance, He literally addressed
the universal energy dynamics – the Physics – inherent. Although He used
simple language [how could He not?], He, nevertheless, succinctly said
everything that actually matters, giving Humanity instruction on how to
transcend savagery. As I see it, Jesus was doing this deliberately, in a way
that, at just the necessary ‘time’ during the course of human development –
after folks had become sufficiently social, but before they had a chance to
become overly-‘admiring’ of themselves – began a polishing of our being,
and He did so in a way that would be comprehended thousands of years after
He said it. I understand that many will scoff at this assertion, but, there
it is, plain-as-day to see. Both in the Gospels and in History, it’s exactly
what Jesus did.
I’ve discussed a lot more of what’s in Jesus’ instruction, addressing many
other passages, from all four Gospels, on the Internet, but this letter is
getting long, so I’ll discuss one more passage and close.
Matthew 10:34 “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! No, I
came to bring a sword. 35 I have come to set a man against his father, and a
daughter against her mother, and a daughter in law against her
mother in law. 36 Your enemies will be right in your own household! 37 If
you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of
being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not
worthy of being mine. 38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me,
you are not worthy of being mine. 39 If you cling to your life, you will
lose it; but if you give it up for me, you will find it.
In this oft-misinterpreted passage, which, because of its superficially-‘strange’
content, is typically referred to as being “mystical”, Jesus wasn’t telling
us to “have family feuds”, or to “ignore the Sixth Commandment”. He was
explicitly addressing the way that what comes to be ‘familiar’ – what will
be most-TD E/I-minimized within our experience, and, therefore,
most-strongly “understood – develops primarily within our local
experiential-environments – i.e., families – and He was teaching us that we
must transcend the prejudices inherent – that we must think for ourselves,
that we must love our Families, and our “neighbors”, in that way. Think
about it [for yourself :-] and you’ll see that, while ‘hate’ abhors it, love
requires such independence of thought – because it’s only with such
independence of thought that one can, in fact, behave in ways that will
enable others to experience TD E/I#-minimization which, subsequently,
enables one’s self to experience TD E/I#-minimization. Understand? “Love
your neighbor as you love yourself.” Enable others to experience the same TD
E/I-minimization that your nervous system ‘seeks’ to experience – that your
own nervous system is literally attracted to experiencing. The difference
between “love” and ‘hate’, as they each arise within neural and behavioral
dynamics, is what Jesus was addressing in this passage. Only, the way He
said it stretches all the way to infinity [and beyond :-] [I’ll leave it as
an exercise for those who have read the accompanying documents to explore
this passage in-depth. It literally translates into the TD E/I-minimization
dynamics that completely govern nervous system function, and can be
interpreted in no other way, which Jesus made sure of by saying it in a way
that, superficially, seems to ‘contradict’ much of what He otherwise said.
There are other passages that have this same quality, and, when one looks,
one always sees that, in them, Jesus is always speaking to the future – to
places, times, and people who will have come to understand more than was
known 2000 years ago. All of these passages make one’s jaw hang down because
one sees with one’s own eyes that Jesus was discussing stuff that would only
come to be understood thousands of years after He discussed it.]
I don’t expect anyone reading this letter to accept it without experiencing
a lot more than the discussion in this letter, but, in verse 37, Jesus
literally declared His Godhead, saying that, if we remain dictated-to by
‘blindly’-automated TD E/I-minimization [which includes stuff like “being
afraid” to Honor Truth because of what others will say or do, etc.], we will
not be able to achieve what’s right-there within our capabilities to
achieve. That’s what Jesus was talking about when He said, “you are not
worthy of being =mine=” [italics added by me], and, in such, He was
declaring His Godhead by equating Himself with – personifying Himself as –
“all of the Power in the universe” and the way that nervous systems interact
with such, as that Power literally forms us and our behavior, through our
experience within it – through the way our nervous systems work. In verse
37, Jesus is literally equating Himself with such, and He is not ‘presuming’,
embellishing, or stretching anything, because Truth is plain-to-see in the
way He said it, because – and this is what really makes my jaw hang down –
He did so in a way that’s completely comprehensible in terms of the way our
nervous systems actually work. [Note well, I’m not trying to ‘prove’ “Jesus
is God”. I cannot explain how it could be that Jesus Knew! the things I’ve
reiterated in this letter. All I’m saying is that, because of its awesome
correlation to the now-known physical reality of nervous system function, it’s
just vividly-clear that He did. I Believe because of that, but Belief is up
to Individuals [else Free Will is Transgressed.] In this letter, I’m
arguing, as “Scientist”, on behalf of understanding, and I’ve called both
Science and Religion to task because the ‘rift’ that exists between Science
and Religion has been Murderous, and tragically-unnecessarily, because it’s
so obvious that, two thousand years ago, the understanding that Jesus
expressed is so much more advanced than anything that either Science or
Religion still routinely invoke, and which has Science and Religion ‘moving
away from’ each other – which sorrowful mutual ‘moving away from’ leaves all
of Humanity suffering as a consequence of the ‘blindly’-automated TD
E/I#(up) that it coerces back upon all of Humanity. If the discussions of
the only way in which Peace can happen are ‘outlawed’ on the grounds that
‘this is not science’ or ‘that is not religion’, then, in absence of the
‘outlawed’ experience, Peace, even though attainable, is thwarted because,
if it ‘cannot’ be experienced, whatever “it” is, TD E/I-minimization ‘cannot’
occur, with respect to it, within nervous systems, and, if TD
E/I-minimization with respect to “it” ‘cannot’ occur within nervous systems,
whatever “it” is, it ‘cannot’ be understood – even when what “it” is is
innately-longed-for Peace.]
I’ll close with verse 38, above, which always gives me a smile because, in
it, probably with a twinkle in His eye, while simultaneously addressing His
bringing of Salvation to Humanity on Calvary, Jesus was referring to the
phenomenon of “decussation” – the crossing of the vast majority of neural
fibers, from one side of the body to the other, as they extend to and from
the higher levels of our nervous systems. Literally, “our Crosses” – the
“crosses” that literally exist within our nervous systems. Jesus called us
to “lift them up” above ‘blindly’-automated TD E/I-minimization – above the
savagery and all of the unkindnesses that TD E/I-minimization, left
uncomprehended, inflicts upon and within Humanity, until even wars break out
and Hell exists on Earth.
Why I imagine Jesus saying verse 38 “with a twinkle in His eye” is that it’s
obvious to me that, in this verse, Jesus was predicting the day when Science
would come to understand nervous system function, and, in that
understanding, See Him, understand His teaching, and how He so Loved us all.
This day has arrived.
Check it out. It’s in the paper that accompanies this letter. [Note: it‘s in
AoK..] “Decussation” – the “crosses” that literally exist within our nervous
systems – is the key to understanding TD E/I-minimization. “Take up your
cross”, in understanding of both Science and Religion, and “follow [Him]”.
I’ll squeeze-in one more thing:
John 1:14. “And the word became flesh, and dwelt within us, full of grace
and truth.”
Although it’s easy for me to imagine Jesus talking about it with His
Apostles, the Gospel writer doesn’t attribute this verse to Jesus, but, when
we “learn” anything, such “learning” occurs in the form of microscopic
trophic [“growth”] modifications to the neural structures of our nervous
systems. In such, what we “learn” literally becomes flesh within us,
thereafter exerting physically-real inertia within nervous system function
and, thus, guiding our behavior [which is what happens when we send our
Children to school]. And, when what we “learn” is what Jesus taught, what
Jesus taught literally becomes flesh within us, and, flesh of our flesh,
thereafter literally guides our behavior.
The same is True with respect to all “learning”. If we live in ‘hatred’
[‘moving away from’, forcefully], our nervous systems “learn” to ‘hate’
more, which is what Jesus said in:
Matthew 6:23 “If the light you think you have is really darkness, how deep
that darkness will be!”
The “darkness” to which Jesus referred in this verse is absence-of-Truth
which, because it merely correlates with TD E/I#-minimization, we ‘think’ is
‘understanding’, and its “deep”[-ness] is the ‘blindly’-automated savagery
that always springs forth from such.
It’s simple. That which enables TD E/I#-minimization derives in experience.
Everyone’s experience is different, but the TD E/I#-minimization that your
nervous system “loves” [‘moves toward’], is the Same-Stuff that everyone
else’s nervous system “loves”. Make =that= happen, not only in your nervous
system, nor only in the other, but in both, and =there= is Peace.
Or, as Jesus said, ~“Love God. Love neighbor. Love self.” [Matthew 22:37-40]

Endnote: On the Inviolability of Free Will – It’s because “learning” occurs
as a function of TD E/I-minimization during the course of experience that
Free Will is Inviolable. Oh yes, Free Will is commonly ‘violated’ – in war,
and in all other forms of humanly-actualized coercion – but look at what’s
in such ‘violation’ of Free Will – more, and indefinitely-recurring
‘violation’ of Free Will – which means that Free Will is Inviolable.
Understand? Induce TD E/I(up) within others’ nervous systems and, as those
nervous systems achieve TD E/I#-minimization, they impose TD E/I#(up) back
upon you, because Free Will =is= Inviolable. Free Will literally has the
form of “the high counsel” [Matthew 5:21.]
It’s only in doing the work inherent in guarding Free Will that Humanity
actually does anything that lifts itself up. Else Humanity’s energies go to
waste in mutually-induced TD E/I#(up).
That’s exactly what Jesus was talking about in Matthew 11:29, “Take my yoke
upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will
find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I
give you is light.”
Juxtapose this with the way that Darwin’s concept of “survival of the
fittest” has come to be interpreted.
If it sends Humanity’s energy to waste, preventing Humanity’s going forward,
is it “fit”?
Nope. Not even for individuals.
The difference holds all the way down to just energy.
