Dear Ross,
I don't think we can repeat too often that the Will and Testament of
Abdu'l-Baha is part of the "sacred and immutable Holy Text." Thank
you for pointing it out again. That is why it was such a complete loss
of faith for the Hands of the Cause (except for one) to betray it at
the death of the first Guardian Shoghi Effendi.
The Word of God accomplishes that for which it is sent forth. Isaiah
55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall
not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
The worlds were framed by the Word of God. Hebrews 11:3 "Through
faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so
that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
The Word is the conceiver of all that is made. John 1:1 In the
beginning was the Word..."
This faith in the creative power of the Word of God is the basis of
religion!!! How could the Hands have so quickly and apparently easily
lost sight of this fact. The quotes I used were taught to me by the
late Louise Vorndam, an Orthodox Baha'i who taught us Biblical
Scripture. I want to give her credit for her efforts because she died
long before computers and the internet became common usage. Otherwise
we would be seeing her postings here in defense of the Guardianship.
Barbara
